Mangrove Cleanup
Now that we have given the public the chance to participate in our last event, in this new event, our fourth mangrove cleanup in the Landmark Mangrove Project, Green Abu Dhabi is engaging with companies once more. With Tactical Connections and Mubadala GE Capital as our sponsors, and with their teams on the ground, I am sure we will find more trash than ever before. Some of you might have already heard, the Landmark Mangrove Project is working better than expected and we find less and less trash every time. From 1.7 tons in the first cleanup, to 1.3 in the second, and our last cleanup only netted 900 kilos, we now need these corporate teams to really dig deep if they are going to win.
Join us for the day, with your friends, family, and kids, or just tell everyone you know about the cleanup and Green Abu Dhabi. In either case we would need and encourage your support to spread our message of education and activation.
This fourth Mangrove Cleanup will be held on Friday the 15'th of November, 2013. The location will be the same as always, see the map below, it will be held from 1:15pm - 5pm. A slight change to the timings was made to allow for the winter season.
This particular cleanup is strictly a corporate event and the public is only allowed to participate as spectators, buyers, or volun-teers. The main participants in the cleanup will be teams from Tactical Connections and Mubadala GE Capital.
The teams will meet at the Al Mushrif Childrens Park Parking Lot (see map below), across from the Choueifat International School in Abu Dhabi at 1:15pm for registration. They will leave from there to the site at 2pm, and will start cleaning up promptly at 2:30pm. The teams will then be allowed to leave at 5pm, and most people will be back in the cars and on the road home before 6pm.
If you wish to find out more information please contact Suhail Jashanmal from the contact section.
We hope to see you all there.
